Well-functioning app, works as advertised

I started using this app and related hardware for slightly over a week when I picked up a blood pressure monitor, the HS5 scale, and a sleep-tracker watch. I have generally been very pleased with the way the app works with the devices and displays the data. The data recorded by iHealth shares with the iOS Health App just fine. I find the graphs for blood pressure look better than what I see in other apps. I did have an issue with my HS5 scale when I updated to this version, but that may have been entirely coincidental. The scale did not report low batteries, but my phone wasn’t seeing the scale when it was on wifi. Happily, a fresh set of new batteries fixed it.

Good layout but …

When an upgrade happens, it is supposed to ADD features not REMOVE them. In this instance going from version 1 to 2 the layout was improved but, 1. More devices could be added or REMOVED in version 1 but in next version the devices can be only be added but not taken out. 2. The more important part is that in version 1 you can switch between normal use or Guest Mode but in version 2 it is not allowed. The only thing one can do is install the App on another device. The iHealth support staff says use v1 till next UPGRADE is out.

Not family friendly

You need to logout and login for each user in order to record the measuring. Not practical at all.

Much improved

I used the first version of this app and my cuff worked about ten times then started shutting down halfway through the BP check. I was getting ready to throw it away and decided to try it one more time. I downloaded this version of ihealths app and it has worked perfectly! Pleasantly surprised. I have to qualify this by saying that I am using a new phone ( iPhone 6 verses iPhone 5) so I cant be sure its the app, though I suspect it is. It also has a battery meter which I dont remember in the old app. I would give it 5 stars but I miss the trend graph. This app shows the previous readings, but you have to swipe though them so its a little harder to see month by month changes. Nice job!

an design makes me comfortable

I have noticed that this app has been modified a bit today, most of the functions are improved, but the app still maintains the style, which makes me feel comfortable to use it. It shows a clear guideline about the pairing, the list page looks nice, but the result page is with too much color, I expect the same white n clean look. I really like the my vital page, which gives me a great overview. All in all, it is much better app now, a usable app than before.

Last Up Date Is Terrible

After the last up date, the app dont open or work as the should. It crashes every time I try to used. Im very disappointed!!!

New and Improved!

Wow, version 3.0 WORKS! Great design, function and reliability. Ihealth must have hired new programmers or returned to the original group from version 1. My wife and I were very close to trashing our Ihealth scale and getting another brand because it was just too frustrating to get the thing to work correctly. Version 3 has changed that. We also have the Blood Pressure cuff which also works great. Once again, Ihealth products are classy, accurate medical devices that are easy to use and reliable.

New Update Crashes

Continues to crash. Cannot get through main page.

I love the app

I love the app. I find it great to do spot checks. I would like to see the app also allow charting of bp, heart rate, and oximetry overnight. It would help people with apnea to record any stressors to go with any apnea results noted to take to their doctors. Also I would love to see some sort of ability to write into medical records. For me specifically, I would like to be able to allow the app to store the information to my myhealthevet for my care team at the va to access. Otherwise amazing.

Update is awful

I have been waiting for my IHealth update for a week. That means that I have had to carry an alternative cuff with me for a week. This is awful!

Awful app after update

This use to be a great app, now its awful. After the most recent update nothing works. My data from the day before gets completely wiped out after midnight. I reached out to the support & I was told to reboot and turn my phone off. It still wont work. Now my watch will not connect to the Bluetooth so I cannot sync my data. I have rebooted it still wont work. I did get an email this morning August 21st about an available update to the app that I would be able to use after August 14th. I checked for an update seems that was a week ago & nothing. I am very disappointed about these issues and that they are not being resolved in a timely manner. The old version of the app worked fine. You synced and your information was there. To bad this is no longer available. Please fix these bugs.

Unacceptable privacy grab

Using this app means consenting to share ALL your private health data FOREVER with iHealth, and storing it on iHealth’s cloud servers forever, with no means provided to delete it. There’s not even an option provided to use the app with only local HealthKit data storage. This is totally unacceptable for health data and I’m amazed that Apple even allowed this sleazy, creepy app through the App Store review process. They shouldn’t have. Avoid using this company’s products at all costs.

Trouble with the health part of iOS

I’ve been having trouble with the health app on iOS. It was fine yesterday but I’m having some trouble with it.

App is trash.

I have had this product and app for awhile but put it away for a long time due to connection issues. After first initial charge, now I can not link to the app. Says not found even tho my iphone6 and tracker are on Bluetooth. No matter what I do I can not link to the app. Dont waste your time or money on this product.

Wifi does not sync

30 min and still couldnt get wifi to sync via my phone. Timeout error.

You are FORCED to send your data to their “Cloud"

After opening the IHEALTH CORE WIRELESS BODY COMPOSITION SCALE I discovered that it was not possible to use the scale without setting up a “cloud” account and transmitting the personal information and measurement data to the iHealth “cloud.” We are absolutely unwilling to do this. We were under the impression that the MyHealthVitals app would allow us to keep our data secure *on our own device* without uploading it. That is not possible. There is no legitimate reason that iHealth should need our measurement data, and certainly not without allowing us to “opt out.” I specifically asked iHealth about this, and they responded: We understand your concerns about creating an online account and sharing pertinent health information on the cloud. However, the Wireless Body Analysis Scale uses a cloud computation algorithm to relay the percentage results for your Water, Body Fat and Lean Muscle readings. For this reason, it must be used in conjunction with a cloud account. My apologies for the inconvenience. Of course, this is malarkey. None of the computations are so complex that they cannot be done locally, and even if they were, there is no reason that the data could not be sent to the server for computational processing without including identifying information, nor is there any legitimate need to store the data on the server after computation. It is also possible that iHealth wishes to sell aggregate information, or otherwise use the data as part of its business plan. I have no interest and no trust in iHealth. None of this was made clear in the iHealth advertising. I am requesting an RMA.

Requires setting up a cloud account & didnt connect

There is no valid reason for this, the old iHealth app that worked with my old scale didnt require this. I also do not see the device appear in my Bluetooth settings, so it seems to be broken. I will be returning the scale and posting this information elsewhere.

Trash

Rollback error out of the box. Appalling customer service. I threw it away to put the experience behind me. Simply avoid this company.
